Introducing Serata Fungicide

The New Mode of Action for Pythium Diseases

Picarbutrazox is a new compound from a new class of chemistry, the tetrazolyloximes. It is theorized that picarbutrazox works by effecting the biosynthesis of phospholipids, which disrupts the normal function of the pathogen’s cellular membrane. Picarbutrazox has translaminar activity and no known cross resistance between it and other oomycete chemistries, making it an ideal tool for pythium control and resistance management.

“We applied Serata to greens that always had issues with Pythium Root Dysfunction and Pythium Root Rot. I was amazed at the results. To have new mode of action to combat Pythium diseases that works as well as Serata is much needed and very exciting.”
